Birnbaum’s Disney guides take to the high seas with this comprehensive look at the Disney Cruise Line and all the events, activities, and ports of call to sample aboard the Wonder and the Magic. In “Before You Sail,” receive advice on what to do and pack prior to your journey. Then get a deck-by-deck, cabin-by-cabin introduction to your vacation “home,” as well as personal dining tips, from midday snacks to gourmet dinners. Find out the characters’ favorite hangouts, and, for adults only—find out some of our little-known hideaways.
The guide also includes a chapter on Ports of Call to help you decide which tours and shore excursions to take, plus a fun-filled guide to activities for kids of all ages—tots and teens and in-betweens. Additionally, we’ll show you where to massage your cares away, the best places to be after dark, how to celebrate in style whether you’re just married or renewing your vows, marking a special birthday or anniversary, or just rejoicing, and the secrets to planning a successful family reunion.
This year’s edition includes stem-to-stern coverage of the Disney Magic and Disney Wonder, including new dining selections, deck parties, and stage shows. The Disney Magic is sailing to new destinations around the globe and we’ll tell you where! There are two new ships on the horizon for Disney Cruise Line. Learn about them with our exclusive sneak preview. You’ll also find candid descriptions of the myriad of shore excursions, meant to help readers select those they will enjoy the most.

Rating:
Birnbaum Disney guide provides no more information than the Disney Cruise Line website.
PassPorter Disney Cruise Guide really tells you what you need to know.
Save some money and skip this one.
Though the Birnbaum Disneyworld guide is good.

Book does not have any of the 2010 European ports listed. It is very close to the 2009 edition. Sent it back

This guide doesn’t have anything that isn’t on the Disney cruise line website and when it does offer “options” — it doesn’t say make recommendations! Don’t bother.
Review by Mystery Tour for Birnbaum’s Disney Cruise Line 2010
Rating:
This book is 60-70% dedicated to the Disney Cruise Line *Caribbean* cruises – specifically those ports of call and the land portion of the Caribbean cruises. There is not one mention of any of the European cruises which is what I wanted to know about. The information specific to the ships is very basic and can mostly be found on the Disney Cruise web site.

Save your money if you are using this book for information about Mediterranean ports of call. The other information provided is very basic. Not a good enough to carry the “Official Guide” designation.
